Rain Gear You Need That’s Actually Cute

This pack comes with two hooded ponchos that are made from lightweight, tear-resistant material. They’re breathable (but thick enough to keep you dry), and they’ll work well with any outfit given their oversized fit. ($11.99, Amazon) 

Finally, an umbrella that’s chic, has great coverage, and dries easily. This bubble umbrella comes in many different styles and colors — including an iridescent shade we can’t help but gush over. Its dome shape will keep you dry and prevent wind from messing up your hair (a must). ($14.45, Amazon) 

You don’t need to break the bank to add that forever classic trench coat to your closet. This one from Mango has a roomy, oversized fit which makes it easy to throw on over a chunky sweater or other layers – plus a removable waist-tie, so you can decide whether you prefer a belted or non-belted silhouette. We’re big fans of HOKA sneaks for all things fitness, so you can imagine our excitement when we discovered their ultra-cushioned, slip- and water-resistant leather sneakers. They come in both regular and wide widths, and work well if you’re on your feet all day, since they have strong support and a grippy sole. ($139.99+, Hoka) 

If you’re heading somewhere near the beach, we highly recommend these slides to keep your outfit elevated…without risking water damage to your shoes. They’re made from a durable, flexible, recyclable plastic material, and they come in two neutral colorways: a tortoise-shell brown and black combo, and a beige and black combo. The bucket hat trend is still very much a thing, and we’re loving this style from Banana Republic. It’s made from a water-resistant cotton-nylon crepe material, and is available in bright orange or nautical navy blue. Pair it with your favorite bathing suit and an oversized white button-down for a chic, vacation-ready look. ($70, Banana Republic)  

Simply put, this is the ultimate sports, beach, diaper, road trip, or really anything bag. It’s huge (we’re talking 18 inches wide, 14 inches tall, and over eight inches deep), and it’s made from 28 recycled water bottles. You’ll find plenty of pockets on the inside and out — including extra-large ones on the sides for hefty water bottles. Bonus points for the exterior sleeve you can slip right over a suitcase handle. We love that this Lululemon purse doesn’t automatically scream “waterproof” – but still resists snow, sleet, and rain. It fits nicely on your shoulder, but has adjustable straps so you can customize it to your liking. Use the exterior pocket for anything you want easy access to, and the zippered interior pockets for any valuables. ($78, Lululemon)  

It’s no secret we’re officially team Straight Leg when it comes to pants, and these North Face double-layered ones are a rainy day must-have. They have an elastic waistband so they’ll stay comfortable all day long, plus a lower leg zip to accommodate clunky rain boots or sneakers. They’re super waterproof, but still breathable enough that you won’t have to worry about overheating. ($100, Rei) 

Truthfully, it’s cute for any event, but Skimm’rs report this vest is their go-to layer to throw on while heading out to run errands. It’s both water-repellent and wind-resistant, and best of all, the down material (like all other down products at Quince) is responsibly sourced. ($99, Quince)
