To me, destination weddings are peak fun. You get to celebrate love while enjoying a vacation of your own, aka the vibes are immaculate. But it can be stressful to plan what to wear for a jam-packed weekend that includes a welcome party, ceremony, and farewell brunch. Lucky you, I’m mood boarding for my best friend’s Italian wedding and sharing all the dresses and accessories I’m planning to pack. My outfits are your outfits.

A retro dress in a chic color…
We’ll start with the most important piece first: this is the dress I plan to wear to the ceremony. The dress code is formal with bright colors allowed, but I’m opting for the chocolate brown, which feels more unexpected. I have already tried it on, and let me just say, the photos don’t do it justice. The off-the-shoulder neckline comes off sexier and less froufrou, and the ruching at the waist is elegant. It definitely runs small, so size up. ($495, Staud)

A bangle you’ll want to wear every day…
If you’re going over the top with the dress, I’d suggest keeping your jewelry simple. I’m obsessed with the look of a single bangle worn with a gown, and this one looks even better in person. It comes in silver and gold and two sizes. The classic size is better to add to your stack after the wedding is over, but the mega version is a showstopper. ($198, Jenny Bird)

A maxi dress for the in-between moments…
You’re going to have some downtime in between events, so you’ll want a breezy maxi dress for exploring or relaxing. This one is just boho enough to be trendy and gives off an “I just threw this on” vibe. You can wear it with or without a bra and you’ll be comfortable all day. ($118, Free People)

A full-length gown in a trending color…
Pastel pink is taking over, and I’m here for it. This dress has a straight neckline, adjustable spaghetti straps, and a back slit to show off your legs. The floral pattern is subtle and works just as well for a tropical location as it does an urban wedding. ($298, Reformation)

A midi you can dress up or down…
When it comes to investment dresses, Dôen is a brand that’s worth it. This dress is made of soft organic cotton and strikes the perfect balance between sophisticated and effortless. Wear it to the farewell brunch with sandals and last night’s curls. ($248, Nordstrom)

A cashmere wrap that’s a wardrobe essential…
A cashmere wrap is essential for wedding season, especially during spring when temperatures dip at night. This one is soft and can be worn over your shoulders now, then as a true scarf in the winter. I’d get the ivory color so it goes with any evening dress. ($99.90, Quince)

A mini dress for the hottest days…
When it’s hot out, the only thing I want to wear is a mini dress. No matter the locale, stay cool in this tiered dress with a V-neck and whimsical pattern. It pairs well with sneakers, heels, or sandals and can be worn to casual wedding events. ($98, Anthropologie)

A maxi dress to wear on vacation later…
When I saw this dress, it stopped me in my tracks. It’s both fun and chic, thanks to the combination of bright flowers on a black shell. Whether the ceremony is cocktail or black tie, this dress works thanks to the formal floor length. The keyhole open back adds a little drama. ($495, Nordstrom)

A halter dress that looks more expensive than it is…
The silhouette, the halter neckline, the textured fabric…all of the details of this dress make it appropriate for a beach or casual wedding. The blue is definitely giving beach wedding. It comes in petite, regular, and tall sizes, so you can find the perfect fit. ($120, Abercrombie & Fitch)

Thong heels to wear with everything…
I love that flip-flop heels are back, and I never realized how versatile they are. You can throw these on with a casual sundress, with your swimsuit to the pool, and even with a cocktail dress. The kitten heel won’t slow you down even if you’re trekking over cobblestones, and the little buckle is a nice detail. ($148, Free People)

A bright linen set…
A skirt and top set will always make you feel put-together. This one is made of light and airy linen, comes in a pretty pastel floral pattern, and has an open back. Grab the matching skirt and pair it with fun heels to be ready for the welcome party. ($120, Bloomingdale’s)

An eyelet midi dress you’ll wear all summer…
From the eyelet to the floral stitching to the blue stripe pattern, this dress screams “eating ice cream in the park.” It’s perfect for a wedding weekend brunch, then a bridal or baby shower later. The adjustable straps and ruching in the back ensure it fits just right. ($78, Gap)

An eye-catching ring…
Pair your cocktail dress or evening gown with this statement ring to complete your outfit. The negative space design and single stone is elegant. Plus, the red garnet will complement your dress, no matter what color you’re wearing. You’ll find yourself adding this to your everyday stack once you’re back home. ($198, Mejuri)

A pretty chiffon dress fit for any ceremony…
This dress is just lovely, from the pastel print to the allover pleating. It has a cami lining, so nothing will show through, and has a bit of stretch so you can move on the dance floor. Add a pair of gold hoops and a slick-back hairstyle, and you’re ready to party. ($69, Eloquii)

An investment bag with a little edge…
Our editors are obsessed with the Staud Tommy Bag, and this leopard version is too good to pass up. It’ll spice up even the most demure looks, especially with the “Meow” on the back. Trust me, you can fit everything you need and more in this bag. ($295, Staud)

A midi dress in a trendy print…
I’ve been a gingham girl for as long as I can remember, and I’m excited to see all the ways it’s reimagined this spring. I love the milkmaid feel of this dress that makes it great for strolling the streets of Europe. The square neckline and thick straps set it apart and the flared skirt will keep you cool. Plus, it has pockets. ($79.90, Quince)

A baroque pearl necklace to dress up any outfit…
I’ve really been into baroque pearls lately, especially when you need a little something to kick an outfit up a notch. This one is made of glass pearls, but they look real, with one gold bead to offset the others. Now imagine this necklace with the gingham dress above. My work here is done.
